Week Twenty Two of Project Happy: Brotherly Love

Brandy

Weirdly enough I do not remember much of this week for some reason.

As I am typing this post it all seems like a blur.

But one thing touched my heart this week – well it’s two things really – my boys.

Amidst all of the chaos of school, sports, and daily living, came a moment that really made me want to cry.

Tears of happiness.

One night the boys were getting ready for bedtime.

Nightly snacks were eaten.

They each drank a cup of milk.

And teeth were brushed.

Then, it was declared time for bed.

Usually one parent puts one child to bed and the other parent, the other child.

But jokingly one of us suggested that Little Man take Big Boy to bed.

And that he did.

He grabbed his older brother’s hand and led Big Boy to his room.

Seeing our two boys walk hand-in-hand slowly down our hallway was too adorable.

Big Boy covered himself up in his blankets.

Little Man gave him a hug and kiss good night.

A “nigh nigh” was said and a big happy wave given.

Such a sweet moment.

Such a heart warming moment.

And every night since, Little Man has put Big Boy to bed.

The moment only lasted a few mere minutes but the memory of it will last a lifetime.

Oh, how sweet! My baby always gives big brother a big night-night hug and blow-kiss before trotting into his own room for bedtime with Mom and I love it! It is totally heartwarming!
