Happy New Year: Making Changes
Happy New Year everyone!
2014 has officially begun!
I do not have any wise words to share with you. I will not be making any resolutions this year. I find that I have a problem with sticking to the commitment I tried to make and end up feeling disappointed in myself.
2014 will be a year of no disappointments. It will be a time of change.
I am not sure what changes I will make but hopefully they will make me, and those around me, healthier and happier.
I saw a couple of images floating around social media the past couple of days.
The first image is of a Happiness Jar. The idea reminds me of when I did Project Happy in 2012. I loved writing my PH posts. It was a great way to separate the good moments from the not so good. It gave me a little perspective on life. How neat would it be to empty that jar on New Year’s Eve 2014 and read through all of those small happy moments?
Some people write in a gratitude journal every day. This is another excellent idea. Even if your day may not have been the best it could have been, there may have been one small tiny moment that made you smile or laugh. Many say that when you think and speak more positively, you attract more positive people and circumstances to you and your life. Why not give it a try? It would be nice to have a little reminder of those special moments that could have been long forgotten by the end of the year.
Throughout the day I have been reading many of my blogger friend’s year end recaps and what they hope to accomplish in the new year. One constant I saw from all of those posts was that each and every one has been grateful for the love and support of their friends and family. And that they are dreaming the next year will be bigger and better than the last. I sure hope that everyone gets to see their dream come true.
And now I want to close off with this lovely quote because well, it is very fitting.
What are you looking forward to in 2014?
