HP Photosmart 7520 Printer & The Back-To-School Kid’s Pack #HPCanada #Printables

Brandy

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! *singing in my lovely sing-song voice*

And no, I do not mean Christmas.

It’s back to school time!

The time all of us stay-at-home parents have been waiting for! (Come on, you know it is true!)

Although my kids may not be ready to go back to school, I am sure ready to get back into a routine. I need some law and order around here. The lazy days of summer can take a hike! Although, I did like those casual beach or spray pool days. Those were fun and somewhat relaxing.

My kids start school in less than a week. Big Boy will be starting fourth grade and Little Man will be attending Kindergarten! Like everyone else I am wondering how summer passed by so quickly and how it is possibly my kids are both going to be in school this year. Unlike in other provinces though, Little Man will only be attending school for half a day as we do not have full day Kindergarten here in Manitoba.

To help Little Man, as well as Big Boy, ease into the transition of starting (or going back) to school, HP Canada offers some educational and entertaining printables which are available for download through our HP Photosmart 7520 printer.

As you may remember from my first post about the HP Photosmart 7520 is that you can connect it to your home wireless network. That means you can print from anywhere in your home! Setting up the wireless connectivity was easy peasy. After doing that and enabling Web Services, I had to create an account at www.hp.ca/printables. At the printables website you plug in your printer code and voila! You can start browsing all of the content available to you!

One of the best features of this printer, besides being able to print wirelessly from anywhere, is the apps you can add directly to it! I have the following on my printer right now: Crayola, Disney, 7 Day Menu Planner, Education.com, LeapFrog, Universal Crossword, Dreamworks Animation, Highlights, and more. There are hundreds of apps available at the HP ePrintCenter.

Here are a few pages that I printed out from HP’s Back-To-School Kid’s Pack apps – Highlights and Disney:

Disney Highlights Activity Pages

I discovered I am running out of ink so I decided to take screen captures instead.

Turbo Activity Disney

Turbo Word Search Activity

Here are a few from the Education.com app:

School Scramble

Sight Words Bingo Sight Words Bingo

Sight Words Bingo

Match Game Kindergarten

How fun do these activities look? I cannot wait to try them out with my boys!

As a side note, each app lets you choose to either “browse and print” or to schedule printing. You can have your printables print everyday or every few days (at your own convenience). Your items will automatically print out for you. How simple is that? Further, you can download the HP Printables app to your smartphone and you can select and send your printables straight to your printer from your phone.

Be sure to check out www.hp.ca/printables for more puzzles and games to play (and learn) with your children.
