Facebook & Its Save Function
Some days logging into you is such a delight… and others… not so much.
But there are days when there is so much to catch up on and read on that I get overwhelmed.
My tendency is to open another new tab.
Until I have about 30 to 40 tabs on the go. (And I am not kidding here folks.) Between the browser on my cell phone and the browser on my computer, I literally have millions of tabs open. And that gets overwhelming too.
People keep writing and/or sharing amazing blog posts or articles to read. How can I NOT open them?
A few months ago I discovered something on Facebook that could come in very handy for a person such as myself. A person who has to READ ALL THE THINGS!
It’s Facebook’s new (or maybe it is just new to me, like I said I just discovered it) save function.
Not sure what I am talking about (or maybe you are) well check this out…
So, say you are in your newsfeed – or perhaps you are visiting a Facebook page you like such as My Unwritten Life – and you see a post you want to read but do not have the time to do so right now.
Well, now you can SAVE it for later! This is what you need to do.
Hover over the left hand corner of the post you want to save and a little arrow will appear. Click the arrow and a drop down menu will show.
Scroll down until you see Save this link or Save “Insert Post Name Here.” And all you have to do is click on SAVE and it will bookmark the post for you. To find all of your saved posts, you don’t have to look very far to find them. Below your profile picture and name in the upper left hand corner of Facebook underneath newsfeed, messages and all of that jazz is where you will find the save option.
Click on the saved link and there you will find all of your saved for later posts!
Now, I need to remember to start using this function more as I currently have 20 tabs open in one browser and 15 in another.
Because the more you know…
