Mutant Mania Rampage Arena Review & Giveaway
The day I opened the package containing the Mutant Mania Rampage Arena and 8-Pack Wrestlers was the day I had trouble containing my boy’s excitement over something I had received for review.
For hours they kept asking when I was going to break open the packaging so that they could start playing with everything. This was the first time I had seen not one but both boys excited to play with a toy together.
I had to make the boys wait a few days so that I could get a few pictures before the smack down could occur. Setting up the Mutant Mania Rampage Arena only took a few moments. The instructions were pretty easy to follow. I love how the arena has a built in storage area for the wrestlers that are waiting for their turn in the ring. So handy!
The arena stands were also simple to put together. However, getting the wrestlers to stand up is a bit of a challenge. The wrestlers each have a hole on the bottom of their feet that fit into the small pegs you see in the picture below. However, it is somewhat difficult to fit the peg into the hole. The shapes of the holes and pegs are not consistent. We also found that with the pegs on the arena where you attach the wrestlers so that they can compete. We had a few wrestlers who fell off quite easily. This did not stop the fun though.
At first I was a little confused over how to put the wrestlers together. I could not figure out that the place holder spine originally on the wrestlers was not actually part of the wrestlers and that these rigid pieces had to be thrown away. Back to the instructions I went and I finally figured out that the weird stretchy spines were the items that I was looking for to complete the wrestlers. In the first picture you see the wrestlers as they “should” be put together. As these are mutant wrestlers you can build your wrestlers however you like! So, in the second picture I made my mutants and I mixed up the heads, torsos, and legs. The possibilities for wrestlers is endless! Have fun creating your own mutant wrestlers like we did. In Series One of Mutant Mania, there are over 80 wrestlers to collect.
This is how to put together your mutant wrestler. The green part is the stretchy spine.
Now comes the fun part! Getting the wrestlers into the ring. As I mentioned earlier, sometimes getting the wrestlers to stay on their peg in the ring was a wee bit of a challenge but my boys had fun playing with each and every wrestler they built. Here are two in action…
One day when I was looking through the pictures on my cell phone I noticed that my phone had created this auto-awesome picture of the photos I took of my youngest playing with the Mutant Mania Rampage Arena. How cool is that?
If your kids love wrestling and being creative, this toy is definitely for you.
